Migraine headache is a prevalent disease globally, and one of the leading neurological reasons sought for medical care.1 According to the World Health Organization, migraine is ranked nineteenth among all diseases causing disability.2 Migraine is generally considered a disabling disease that can significantly reduce patient's quality of life.3,4 The majority of patients with migraine report impairments in their ability to engage in work activities, perform household chores, attend social events, and maintain relationships due to their headaches.5 Health-related quality of life (HRQOL) refers to the perceptions of wellbeing, well-functioning, life satisfaction, and being healthy.
Wet cupping might be considered an alternative treatment therapy for migraine headache as it reduces pain and improves patients’ quality of life without exposing the patients to major complications.
